UTDesign Capstone and EPICS Spring Events 2022
Spring semester at UTDesign is a most exciting time. Our graduating seniors have shed blood, sweat and tears (figuratively and literally) to innovate and build projects through creative problem solving. Their Capstone projects are the pinnacle achievement of their undergraduate curriculum and an important part of their resume.
The UTDesign Capstone expos and EPICS Exhibit showcase University of Texas at Dallas students as they present their innovative projects designed and built during the Capstone senior design and EPICS courses. Students work in teams to solve industry problems, develop innovative tools to assist researchers or work on their own entrepreneurial ideas.
Past expos have displayed projects yielding significant results for our industry sponsors, saving some of them time and expense in creating ingenious product solutions. The networking experience for students helps them make a lasting impression on potential employers, while others have even received employment opportunities with some of our sponsors.
This spring, there are 5 different events that you can attend:
- Electrical and Computer Engineering Expo:
- Friday, May 6, 2:45 to 4:00 PM at the SPN Studio
- Computer Science Expo:
- Saturday, May 7, 9:00 AM to Noon (Online only)
- EPICS (Engineering Projects in Community Service):
- Thursday, May 12 4:00 to 5:00 PM at the SPN Studio
- Biomedical and Mechanical Engineering:
- Friday, May 13, 3:30 to 5:00 PM at the SPN Studio
- ExCEllence in Design Showcase
- May 19-20: Open to the public Friday, May 20, 9:00 to 11:00 AM (oral presentations) and 3:45 to 5:45 PM (project poster presentations)
