From YWISE Beginnings, Jonsson School Seniors Make History as Grads

Jocelyn Linares and Sonia Torres, the first graduates from the University of Texas at Dallas’ Young Women in Science and Engineering (YWISE) Investigators program, will earn degrees in electrical engineering and computer science, respectively. The YWISE program, launched to inspire women from underrepresented communities to pursue STEM degrees, has significantly impacted university enrollment and student achievements in STEM fields.
