The UTDesign® Capstone program provides our senior engineering and computer science students with a meaningful senior design capstone project to culminate their undergraduate degrees as they partner with industry to create solutions to real-world engineering and computer science challenges. Sponsored UTDesign® Capstone projects are proposed and mentored by companies. Students not only get to work on a real company project, but they also gain valuable experience working in an environment similar to that of their industry mentor(s).
Students work in the UTDesign®Studio with over 40,000 square feet of ideation, fabrication, assembly, testing and meeting space as they learn the end-to-end hardware or software development cycle, including ideating, designing, building and testing new prototypes; manufacturing automation solutions; and complete product testing systems, plus so much more.
