Offshore wind farms are seen as more efficient and consistent compared to onshore,
due to the higher wind speeds and a reduced environmental footprint, and Vertical
Axis Wind Turbines (VAWTs) take advantage on omnidirectional winds and their ease
of maintenance and installation, among various other things. Offshore vertical axis
wind turbines are an efficient and economical prospect for the source of renewable
energy, and our goal is to further refine this new emerging technology
Multifunctional Transcranial Electric Stimulation System

This project involves building a neuromodulation device for stimulating brain regions outside of the scalp with a setup comprising four key components. The first component is the MFTESS board and its 19 daughter board cards, which function as a central hub to connect and control the other parts of the system, in addition to facilitating stimulation. The second component is the National Instruments module array, which links the MFTESS hardware to our LabView software, allowing us to regulate input and output voltages. The third component is the 32-channel amplifier from Synamps, which is responsible for collecting EEG data. Finally, the Synamps power supply powers all the components and eliminates electrical noise from the wall. Together, these parts enable the device to provide stimulation of up to 10 volts and 2mA to 5 electrodes.
Motherboard Inspection and Testing Automation Project
Department: Computer Engineering

Building a real-time roof moisture mapping device, by using absolute impedance readings to generate precise heat maps based on existing roof diagrams, will provide comprehensive roof coverage and enable effective moisture management solutions. The device will be highly portable and user-friendly, and by offering real-time data logging and detailed heat map capabilities, the device aims to revolutionize the roofing industry.
Reactive Audio Autonomous Hoverboard
Department: Computer Engineering
Sponsor: UT Dallas
Industry: Education
Solution: Robotics
Award:
Semester: Summer 2023
Download: PDF
Most hoverboards are left unused in someones closet collecting dust, by utilizing our technology people will be providing their hoverboard with new life. Our attachment transforms your hoverboard into a drone-powered learning adventure. Designed with kids in mind, RAAH combines the thrill of a hoverboard ride with an educational musical experience. That gives kids the opportunity to learn about robotics, engineering, physics, and sound frequencies.
